Our Simulators

FLIGHT CITY currently operates 2 Flight simulators; the first modelled after the Boeing™* 777 and the second is the 58-B full motion 6 degrees of freedom simulator. Both are available to all flight schools and are open to the public 7 days per week.

The B-777 Fixed Base Procedural Trainer is modelled after the world’s newest and largest twin engine airliner, the Boeing 777-200LR. It features a full glass cockpit,  fully working MCP panel, Efis, Check lists, centre pedestal, motorized throttles and speed brake assemblies and many other features. One of it’s exceptional features is the high definition visual display featuring a fully immersive curved 225 degree screen of over 10mtr x 2.5 mtr in size. Being the largest and most economical twin engine airliner in the world it has become one of the most successful international long distance carriers off all time and the 200LR can fly non stop from London to Singapore. Used amongst some of the biggest and best airlines of the world including Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand, KLM, Lufthansa, Air Canada to name a few.

Our B-777 is our type specific simulator and can be used for such courses as follows:

MCC Training

MPL Training (future option)

JOT Training

SAT Training

LOFT Training

LPC & OPC Training

BESPOKE Training

FUTURE Pilot Training

The  58-B is currently set up as a twin engine Piper Seminole and can feature a glass type cockpit with a Garmin 1000 suite of instruments. It can also be set-up at short notice as a Cessna 172, a turbo prop King Air or even a light business jet such as the Cessna Citation bravo. All of these options and others are available to anyone at no additional costings.

Flight time can be logged as required for re-current training, Instrument ratings, renewals, night VFR, re-currency or used purely for individual training/practice requirements, sometimes just keeping your ‘hand in’ makes it that much easier to stay on top. We can also arrange a check captain, a general flight instructor or an approved testing officer if required to assist with any requirements you might have.

Currently based in the China Southern training facility at 35 Eagle Drive we offer easy access when required. The 58-B is available to the public, professional flight organizations, flight schools, educational facilities and universities 7 days per week from 9:30am through to late as is the B-777 FBPT. We also have a briefing room and a First Class viewing lounge available to small groups should you require these at no additional cost to use for your training sessions.

For individual pilot’s looking to broaden their twin engine training regime we recommend the 58-B as it can be used for many of the CASA licence* requirements from private to airline transport licence renewals etc. (see below)

Being CASA approved means that you can log time* in the simulator which counts towards your licence requirements.

* See below for actual flight time requirements etc

* You may require a instructor present

* You may also require the session to be recorded

* Best to check your own specific requirements by giving us is a call

Listed below are the CASA approvals for our simulators.
